Anthem Blue Cross in California is raising rates again on many Individual plans May 1, 2012.  If you are on an older plan that suffered a big increase, give me a call. I can help you determine your movement options and possibly help you save money on  your premiums.  If you move to a post health Reform plan, you will no longer be grandfathered which means that your plans will be subject to include the new mandated benefits.  Some of these include no lifetime or annual caps and 100% coverage for your preventative care.  The only reason you may consider staying grandfathered, according to health insurance experts, is for rate protection. If you ask me, I don’t feel that the rates have remained low enough to justify staying in your old plan. If you are going to pay those premiums, you may as well get some bang for your buck.  There is alot to consider before making a decision to change your plan.
